Elon Musk Launches Neuralink, AI and Human Brain – BOOM COMBINATION

Elon Musk is a badass because he specializes in creating things that seem straight out of a sci-fi movie. He co-founded PayPal, leads both SpaceX and Tesla, and before few days he released his plans for a fast-and-cheap transportation system called Hyperloop .

Musk’s brain-hacking company is called Neural lace, which was founded to help human beings keep up with the cascading advancements in AI technology. This company will develop a device, or even a series of devices, that could be implanted into the human brain. It’s similar to a controversial idea Musk put forward back in  2016 called a “neural lace,”; an idea he revisited earlier this year at the World Government Summit in Dubai.

Elon Musk invests in the projects that can change our world. He is not only an entrepreneur but also an inventor, innovator, and engineer: Musk personally participates in designing of electric cars and spaceships.

Elon Musk was the second entrepreneur in the Silicon Valley (the first one was James H. Clark) who managed to create three companies with the market cap of more than $1 billion – PayPal, SpaceX, and Tesla Motors. Elon Musk dedicates himself to space and alternative energy technologies. He plays by some different rules and does that quite successfully. The distinctive personality traits of Elon Musk are perseverance, critical thinking, accurate self-analysis and hard work (he works 80-100 hours per week).

It’s OK if it’s confusing, i know because it’s a plan that’s either crazy or brilliant. The company, which is still in the earliest stages of existence and has no public presence whatsoever, is centered on creating devices that can be implanted in the human brain! ehh..sound’s weird but…, with the eventual purpose of helping human beings merge with software and keep pace with advancements in artificial intelligence. These enhancements could improve memory or allow for more direct interfacing with computing devices. Howerver, These types of brain-computer interfaces exist today only in science fiction.

@elonmusk How’s the neural lace and augmented/enhanced intelligence thing going? Also have you played Deus Ex: Mankind Divided yet?

Reply

@BelovedRevol Making progress. Maybe something to announce in a few months. Have played all prior Deus Ex. Not this one yet.

The new venture is being privately funded by Musk and hopes to perfect neural lace for use by humans. What it boils down to is a series of electrodes implanted in our brain which then allows a wireless link to computers. Thoughts, and therefore information, can then be uploaded and downloaded as desired. It’s a process Business Insider describes as allowing “humans to achieve higher levels of cognitive function,” and it would act like an AI layer within our brains. It sounds as though neural lace would allow for the quick uploading of new information without the need to learn it (just like in The Matrix, but without the physical link in your neck!). Achieving that also means figuring out how our brains store information so as to upload it in the correct format.

We’ll have to wait and see what his ultimate plan is. But, in fairness, he’s proved a lot of people wrong with reusable rockets, electric cars, and more. Maybe he’s about to shake up another industry – or, more accurately, create an entirely new one.
